Jesus Did More Than Just Die For Our Sins
Everyone who is a Christian has staked their lives on the truth that Jesus died on the cross to atone for our sins and make us right with God. This is, in many ways, what makes a person a Christian. But many Christians don't know that Jesus is more than the atoning sacrifice for their sins. He is that for sure, but there is more to Jesus's story. Because many of us have been taught a one-dimensional view of Jesus we don't know what to do when Easter rolls around each year: Why does it matter if Jesus rose from the dead if he was only sent to die for our sins? Understanding the resurrection requires us to broaden our understanding of Jesus to include all the Bible says about him, and the result of seeing Jesus more clearly is always freedom and hope and joy.
