Palm Sunday: the Passion of the Lord
Our gospel reading from today is called the Passion Gospel, “passion” coming from the Greek word meaning “suffering.” The "passion" section of all four Gospels takes us on a journey through the week leading up to Jesus’ execution, what we call Holy Week.
What we look at today on Palm Sunday is a preview of what the Church all over the world will walk through this week. Palm Sunday introduces us to and gives us the overview of the whole of Holy Week. Part of the goal of this Day is to get the whole picture in our minds & whole purpose in our hearts before we walk through it step by step through out the week.
Mark 11:1-11; 14:1-15:47

** NOTE: There is a factual error in this sermon. Fr. Tom says "three hours" after 9am Jesus died on the cross, but he meant to say at "3pm"
