The Doctrine of Y'all

It is a truly awesome thing to know Jesus, to know Hm as friend, Savior, and King. But as important as that personal relationship with Jesus is, it is not the whole picture: Because when you become friends with Jesus, you also become friends with his Church.  And although we each may have times of communion and prayer where it just seems like there is no one but me and Jesus, the reality is that no Christian lives life with just them and Jesus.  To be in a personal relationship with Christ is to be in relationship with his family, his people.  This last Sunday, we celebrated this truth in the holiday known as All Saints, the great and true comfort that if we are in Christ we are never alone.
