When We Miss the Glory, We Miss Everything

This Sunday, we look at Mark 9:2-9, the account of Christ’s Transfiguration.  This story, which shares many similarities with Jesus’s Baptism in the Jordan River, points us to an aspect of Jesus’s person that is often ignored by those outside the Church and even those inside, namely the glory of Jesus.  Glory is a concept foreign to our modern minds, but it is absolutely crucial for us if we are to know God as he is and if we are to love our neighbor as our self.
